Sign Design and Installation – Essex Forge
DG Fitton, owner of The Essex Forge, wanted a sign which would identify his building from the street but also create a memorable image for his office space. We met with DG and discovered he himself had a history in blacksmithing. We modeled the anvil in this sign after the one DG used in is blacksmith classes some years back. We also informed this sign with the whaling history of Essex.
The sign was constructed of high density urethane, which provides the look of wood but is much stronger, lighter and durable. The anvil was carved from HDU signfoam.
